The lights on the Christmas tree are glowing softly and there's Phillip Glass on the CD player. No work today and tomorrow friends are coming over for dinner. It really doesn't get much better than that in my corner of the world.
I am off soon for evening services at our dharma center. Tonight I'll talk a little on the balance between the practice of ultimate and relative bodhicitta, and how the right balance makes it possible to go forward into the unknown as we progress on the path. But more important than anything I will say, we'll sit together for an hour and share some dialogue afterwards.
I've completely forgotten about work. I play, read, and write. We have people over, and they leave us with more food than what we had when they came. Our disposal breaks at a bad time, but that all works itself in right.
I'm glad your days are happy, too.
